Our curriculum & emphasis on STEM

GCSEs and A levels are partly taught through the medium of a project which answers a posed real world question, often set by employers such as BP and British Airways. This approach enables in-depth learning in a dynamic, academically rigorous way, developing skills useful in adult life, such as critical thinking, problem solving, inquiry and research. Our specialist science laboratories cater for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. There are also additional facilities for robotics and electronics.

Our curriculum

NASA

Every year, Year 12 students at Space Studio West London are given the opportunity to apply for a trip to the frontier of space exploration. Three students are selected to join pupils from across the Aspirations Academies Trust for a 10-day visit to the United States. Behind-the-scenes visits to Johnson and Kennedy Space Centers, where they liaise with scientists and engineers, are part of the itinerary as are university lectures and historical sites.
