Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) at SSWL

The role of Careers Lead was created to embed the Gatsby benchmarks. The school works with many external companies to set real life projects and act as mentors for students. The 21st century curriculum is designed to develop the skills required for success in the future.

Our vision is to deliver an authentic education for the 21st century for children from the age of 14 -18. The aim of the curriculum is to ensure all students achieve high-level qualifications in a broad range of subjects, whilst simultaneously equipping them with the skills required to play an active role in the modern, highly-competitive and fast-changing world. The latest careers plan can be found here.

Careers Experiences

"We were extremely lucky to have a representative from the NCS Team deliver an incredible life skills workshop, in which we were also given a surprise opportunity to go and explore Go-Ape, helping some of us to face our fear of heights. It was fun, exciting all while being a life's-lessons learning experience!"
